There's a common myth that SEO is both the most effective
way to get high rankings in search engine (thus the acronym
SEO) and also the most difficult to achieve.

This is mainly due to using "in the book" tactics to optimize
your site.

You have been taught to use:
- onsite optimization
(using h1 tags, alt text for images, bold text, keyword
related content at the bottom and very end of the page...)

- offsite optimization (building 'quality' one way back links
essentially in multiple ways: article, directory submission,
blog posting...)

My call is that effective SEO merely relies on offsite optimization
factors and that they outweight the onsite factors a lot.

Main reason is in the speed of the process: offsite factors
are quickly 'detected' by search engine radars and bots...
while they can miss your onsite factors.

Also, it's now a fact, that you can easily defeat bots with
onsite factors and that they are aware of that. On the other
hand, it's hard to get a link from the NASA web site when
you build a space related blog...and search engines will reward
this.

Now, you might wonder why Buzz has something to do with SEO!
Well, simply because SEO will do all off the offsite optimization
for you...with you lifting a finger!

Yes, Buzz will do all the SEO work for you. It's that simple.

Why and what?
Those 2 questions are deeply linked.

Here is what buzz will do for you and why it will work for SEO:
- People will mention your site in 'related' forums: it will
create a quality one way back link to your site
(especially if forum is highly ranked).
- People will use their signature file to link to your
site

There is something more: people will use different anchor text
to link to your site, thus giving you a broader coverage

- Most importantly, people will post about you / your service
on their blog. They will create content related to your product,
and they will link back to you, thus creating quality
(because from a related web site) additional one way links.

Finally, Search Engines love when they can find a lot of
converging information. If one blog mentions your site and 10
days later another one...it will fail.

Buzz is about many many sources mentioning your product or
services: this gives a HUGE signal to search engines that
there's something of interest, something relevant...something
that might interest other people: understand people who will
search for THAT related information.

As a result: they will rank this information high in their results.
Bottom line: you will get tons of traffic while you just initiated
a buzz...

It's an amazing thing, and a highly effective one as you will see
with my case study below. It's often overlooked, as people see
Buzz as a way to generate traffic directly...but it has a long
term impact and a big one on your SEO work.

****************Case Study********************

Yesterday, I launched Niche Video Site Builder
http://www.nichevideositebuilder.com

A push button solution to quickly generate tons
of vide-based web sites.

I send 1 email to a small part of my list, and people
quickly reacted and started talking about it.

Here are some results 24 hours after launch:
-If you key Niche Video Site Builder in Google
(broad search without quotes):

My script accounts for 9 out of the 10 spots on Page
1 and for the positions #1 and #2

I did the same test before launch and of course,
I was nowhere.

Now, you will see that my site is not directly #1.
But blogs discussing the script are in first position.
My site is #4 on this page

- If you key the same search phrase in exact match
(with quotes):
My script simply fills the 10 spots on page 1

It also means that all the sites that were correctly
ranked are now in deeper pages of Search engines.

And remember,it's just after 24 hours.

- You can do the same for the keyword
"Video site builder" without the quotes: we hit spots #8
and #9 in less than 24 hours

Reason is that all those sites discussing it are indexed
many times a day by search engines...thus generating
quick new rankings for the keyword you're targeting.

Finally, 1000 of my subscribers opened their email...but site
has received 5000 visitors...

********************************************

Now, you might wonder how you can use this technic if you
don't have a list or a way to create a buzz: it will be harder,
but this technic shows you how to do it. If you're using
forum to post and discuss your product, if you're using blogs
(not yours) to post comment, or to entice the editor to discuss
your product / service, if you use social bookmarking...
and try to have a dense coverage in a short period of time,
then you might create this SEO-Buzz effect.

To your Success

*****************Follow up added 48 hours later***************

2 days ago, you might have received the first part of my
'Buzz as your best SEO tool' case study.

I explained the basics of SEO (onsite and offiste) highlighting
the value of offiste optimization (one way links...)

Then I explained why Buzz was such an effective way of optimization
for your site.

You can reach this article at
http://www.ethiccash.com/EMC

(it's a featured articles in the left column)

I then showed how I used Buzz to rank in the best position
for my new script Niche Video Site Builder.

As a reminder I did no do any SEO work on it on my own
(I just have a title tag using Niche Video Site builder) and
that's it. I have not linked to it from any site I operate)

This follow up is to show you, how a few days after the launch
(and now that script has been pulled off the market for
some weeks), rankings are getting even better:
- If you google 'video site builder' : my script is now in
position 3, 4 and 6 (in broad match, out of nearly 12'000'000
results)
- If you google it in exact search (with quotes) then I
hit 9 out of 10 spots on page 1

My primary keyword is not "video site builder", but "niche
video site builder": for this one I hit, in broad match,
8 out 10 spots on page 1 of Google.

These rankings won't disappear as all links are coming from
'authority' and 'related' sites, thus giving 'credibility' to
my site and script.

The most important thing here is that my site itself is not
well ranked. But my script, my brand are through press
release, blog posts, affiliate promotions. All this is
generating a steady traffic without me lifting a finger.

And this is long term traffic too.

This is something I tend to teach to my members: optimizing
your site for search engines should not be your main objective.

But creating traffic from "refered" sources should be your
priority as it will, in turn, generate traffic from search engines.

This is true for ANY niche, any product or service, wether it's
information based, service based...or anything.

If you wanted to see a 'living' proof, then here it is. I have not
done any other promotion than sending 1 email to my lists.

Does it mean you should have a list to generate such results?
It would help, but you can start slowly too. Contact blog owners,
editors writing on your topic and try to deal something with
them. Contact potential affiliates through forums, blogs,
social networks...

Go where your target is, talk to people who are in touch with your
target: it's all common sense, but it works.
